Meet the Founders

Florence James Collective was built from the ground up by founders Huzi and Jesse, creative partners in both business and life.

What began as a small garage setup and what seemed like a silly dream has evolved into a full-scale production ecosystem supporting brands at every stage of content creation.

Today, the business spans across large-scale commercial production with Florence James Collective, Propsyland, our in-house prop and backdrop company, Florence James Studios, a purpose-built hire space for creatives, and Creative Scoop, where we educate the next generation of photographers and content creators through online programs, workshops, and live events.

At the core of it all is a simple philosophy: great work starts with strong ideas, thoughtful planning, and a team that knows how to execute.. and a passion to make it happen.

What started small is now built to support brands properly, with the infrastructure, experience, and creative direction to match.

Our Businesses are powered by a team of truely talented people who bring both skill and personality to our company. Across production, creative, planning, shoot support, post, rollout and most importantly, all of the adventure in between, it’s a huge shared effort that keeps everything moving and allows us to operate the way we do. We take the work seriously, but not always ourselves, and that balance is a big part of our culture.

Jesse
Founder - Leads Florence James Collective and its extended businesses, overseeing creative direction while stepping into key campaigns. Alongside the business, Jesse is an industry educator, delivering courses, workshops, and live events. Has a slight coffee addiction.
Huzi
Founder - Drives the operational direction of the business, overseeing client relationships, sales, finances, and team leadership while supporting the continued growth of Florence James Collective. We call him the office larrikin!
Kym
Creative Director - Leads creative direction across all stages of our productions, from concept development, execution through to final rollout. She's the creative wizard behind many wonderful photoshoots!
Maddie
Marketing Manager - Bridges creative production with marketing and advertising strategy, helping content translate into real brand visibility. She's the reason you found us in the first place!
Paige
Social Media Coordinator - Captures, creates, and supports the rollout of marketing across all platforms. Loves a cheeky coke zero!
Lauren
Video Producer - Produces and supports motion projects from planning, editing, through to delivery. She also works alongside the production team for any pre production needs. Lauren is our sweet office angel!
